Stage & Screen Makeup
These workshops are designed for high school students studying Drama or Film and TV. Laura Dhir, professional makeup artist and hair stylist (David Field, Tim Pocock, Elle Dawe, Luke Ford, Barry Crocker), will demystify the tricks of the trade, demonstrating techniques that students can use in their productions. Students are welcome to test their skills on themselves or a family member during the workshop.
Workshops will be held via Zoom and will include a 90-minute workshop and 30-minute Q&A session, moderated by Helen Perris.
Laura has had a career spanning a decade in the industry. Starting out working in short film, television, and music videos, her work now also includes web series, commercials and independent feature films. She has a particular interest in prosthetics and special effects makeup. She was a finalist in the Makeup Artist Guild Awards in the Creative Makeup Artist Of The Year category in 2018 and 2019. Her HMUA work has been published in Machete Girl Magazine.
HPMS is proud to support and connect both arts industry professionals and schools in 2020.
